Trainers and coaches wanted

We’re always looking for talented trainers and coaches to join our associate network.

We deliver thousands of training courses to clients around the world each year, through a mix of virtual delivery (i.e: over Zoom or similar) and in-person training sessions.

Each session is delivered by one of our skilled associate trainers – and you could be among them!

How does it work?

We’ve already created over 70 bitesize training courses, so most commonly, we simply need you to deliver the content we’ve already prepared. (The first time you deliver a particular course, you’ll participate in a training session where we coach you on delivering the material.)

For each new client you’re scheduled to deliver training for, we’ll arrange a preparatory call between you and the client, allowing you to learn more about the attendees you’ll be training and tweak your approach accordingly.

Would I have to travel?

Over 70% of our courses are now delivered online, which means you can deliver training in Newcastle in the morning and New York in the afternoon! For our in-person training sessions, we try to match local trainers to each opportunity, and of course there’s no obligation to run any particular session if it’s inconvenient for you.

What if I already have my own training business?

That’s fine! Most of our trainers are also consultants or trainers with their own personal practice – that’s fine. Delivering training for BiteSize makes a great addition to your existing work schedule, and can help pad out quieter months in your own company. (We simply request that you don’t work independently with our existing clients within a year of working for us.)

What does BiteSize look for in a trainer?

We’re keen to diversify our network of trainers, so we can offer expertise from a range of industries, professional backgrounds and walks-of-life. Don’t count yourself out!

  • You’ll obviously need to be a confident and engaging presenter, and experience in this area is important.

  • You need to be comfortable with the essentials of presenting virtually, from your home IT setup and internet connection, to managing things like polls and breakout rooms. (Although we can, on request, provide a producer / assistant facilitator for your session.)

  • A deeper understanding of at least one of our core categories (professional effectiveness, management, wellbeing, inclusion, sales, remote work, or communication) will help you deliver the material authentically and enable you to engage thoughtfully with questions – although you don’t need to know the answers to anything!

  • We’re seeking trainers with a whole range of professional backgrounds and career histories. Some of our trainers have a track record in HR, L&D and training-as-a-vocation, while others have more experience in management and industry practice that they’re able to draw upon.

  • We’re a UK-based company, but also keen to talk to people who are fluent in a non-English language, or able to deliver training in non-European timezones.

Do I need to design my own material?

For our classic bitesize training courses, trainers deliver our existing content. However, we also offer opportunities for interested trainers to design training material in partnership with us. For instance, you could…

  • become a ‘content manager’ for a particular course or set of courses, responsible for enhancing and improving the content

  • develop a new course for us, that you then manage, or

  • design a custom solution for a client that wants a bespoke training session.

Naturally, there’s further compensation for all of these!

How do I join the BiteSize network?

Email guy@bitesizelearning.co.uk with a bio, CV and any relevant information. We’ll be in touch for an intro call. There’s then a second interview phase, where we’ll ask you to deliver a 20 minute mini-training session to a small group of us, followed by a few of the usual questions.
